VI. CPA -Mrs. Bradshaw reviewed the CPA funding request process. Mrs. Bradshaw explained that Nor. Tripp is again looking for $800,000.00 for synthetic turf at the high school. There was discussion about the benefits of synthetic turf and if CPA funding can be used for synthetic turf. Mrs. Bradshaw explained that other towns have used CPA funding for their fields. Mrs. Mills suggested that the school should make an effort to go into this with the support of Leisure Service and the Department of Public Works. There was discussion of the maintenance of artificial turf. There was discussion over other proposals for CPA funding, including improvements to the Kenneth C. Coombs School playground and Quashnet School playground, Mrs. Mills made a motion, seconded by Nor. Baxley to have the School Committee priorities for CPA fuming requests as follows: • Synthetic Turf at Mashpee High School • Kenneth C. Coombs Playground • Quashnet School Playground VOTE: Unanimous VII. Three Year Bridget Projection- Mrs. Bradshaw explained that this is the most recent version that was emailed to lienee Read. Mrs. Mills mentioned that due to declining enrollment we will need to he accountable. There was discussion about having good communication with town hall on the budget punning for this year. VIII. Town Handbook Mrs. Bradshaw discussed preparation for the town handbook and asked the school committee to review. There was discussion about the best way to put information together. Mr. Bailey offered to revise this information and give it to Mrs. Grady. Ix. Other-Mrs. Bradshaw discussed the change of a teaching position at the Quashnet School. There was discussion to change one teaching position in the SSC program to a social worker. Mrs. Carla Thomas spoke about these positions and the benefits to having a dedicated social worker in the SSC program. There was discussion about the different levels of social workers.
