FY09 Proposed <br /> Calendar Mrs. Bradshaw reviewed the proposed FY09 calendar. There was <br /> discussion that once the Committee has finalized holidays and <br /> vacations, the school administration will look at dates for <br /> professional development. <br /> XVIII. Cost of CC <br /> Collaborative vs. ASIS <br /> Program Carla Thomas discussed the estimated costs of students attending <br /> the Collaborative vs. the Coombs School. She estimates the cost <br /> f one student to attend the Collaborative with transportation i <br /> $92,068 vs. $75,980 for the ASD program at the Coombs School. <br /> She estimates the cost of nine students to attend the Collaborative <br /> is $471,, 508 vs. $203,, 660 for the Coombs School. <br /> There was discussion that these costs are estimates and there may <br /> be other expenses that have not been calculated. There was also <br /> discussion of teacher coverage. Mr. Maircelli stated that it is <br /> better financially and educationally to keep these students in the <br /> district. <br /> XIX. Energy <br /> Education Ms. Lugo reviewed information about the Energy Education <br /> program. She stated that the program is guaranteed to save more <br /> than what the expenses of the program are. As well, to slate vire <br /> have avoided $153, oo in energy costs. There was discussion that <br /> there is a 4-year contract. <br /> There was discussion about the Energy Education program. There <br /> was discussion about the temperature in the buildings. <br /> XX. Memorial <br /> Garden Mrs. Grady discussed a request she had received from Greta <br /> McCue regarding the Mashpee High School Memorial Carden. <br /> There was discussion about the parameters of the garden. Brian <br /> Hyde provided information that the original intent was to <br /> memorialize current students or staff members of the school.' <br /> There was discussion about this. Mrs. Mills stated that she felt it <br /> should be open to anyone who had attended the school. There was <br /> decision to put it on the next meeting agenda and see if anyone <br /> would have further insight at this time. <br /> XXI.
