Mashpee School Committee <br /> Regular fleeting <br /> June 4, 2008 <br /> Minutes <br /> Attendees: I ary ose Grady, Ralph Marcelli, Kathy Stanley, Janice Mills, and Richard <br /> Bailey. Also in attendance were Superintendent of Schools Ann Bradshaw, and Business <br /> Administrator Patricia Lugo. <br /> I. Call Meeting to order <br /> Mgrs. Grady called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. in the Quashnet School library. <br /> II. Executive Session <br /> Mr. Marcelli made a motion, seconded by Mr. Bailey to move into executive session at <br /> 6:36 p.m. for the purpose of litigation, negotiations, and personnel. <br /> Roll Fall Vote: In favor- Mrs.. Grady, Mr. Marcelli, Mrs. Stanley, and Mr. Bailey. (Mrs. <br /> Mills was not present for the vote). <br /> The meeting resumed at 7:05 p.m. <br /> III. Public Forum <br /> Mrs. Susan Furlani spoke about confidentiality issues and ars incident involving her <br /> . daughter. <br /> IV. Approval of Minutes <br /> Mrs. Mills made a motion, seconded by Mr. Bazley to approve the minutes of 5/7/08. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous � <br /> V. ELT Update <br /> Mr. Souza, Mrs. Arnold, Mrs. Goulart, and Mr. Babbitt updated the Committee on <br /> extended learning time initiatives in their schools. Mr. Souza stated that the Coombs <br /> School is going forward at this time, but he is trying to gain more staff support. Ms. <br /> Goulart stated that the Quashnet School is going forward, acrd hopes to submit a proposal <br /> by 7/31/08. Ms. Arnold stated that Mashpee High School is going ahead with the <br /> proposal to be submitted by 7/31/08, and stated that there is a lot of staff support for ELT. <br /> Mr. Babbitt stated that the Middle School staff has voted not to support ELT at this time. <br /> VI. KCC Art and Science Grant <br /> Ms. Horner and Vis. Palmer did a PowerPoint presentation for a project they recently . <br /> completed with second graders, provided by a grant through the Cape Cod 5. Each <br /> student learned about fish, responsibility of pet ownership, and received their own pet <br /> fish. <br /> Regular Meeting 614/08 1 <br />
