Where was a computer glitch before the start of school, but <br /> everything has since been resolved. There were a fear parents that had <br /> wanted to meet van'driers prior to the start of school that were unable to. <br /> Mr. Peter Cohen was asked how he felt the transportation was working <br /> out. He stated that there were some issues such as late schedule <br /> notification and not with meeting drivers prior to the start of <br /> transportation. Other <br /> .Mrs. Bradshaw reviewed the new staff orientation. She'thanked ed Ellen Bankston <br /> for all her hard work in putting together the orientation. <br /> Mrs. Bradshaw stated that Ellen Bankston and Jane Day worked on an alternative <br /> education grant. 'Unfortunately the grant was not approved this year. Mrs. <br /> :Bradshaw thanked everyone for all their hard work. <br /> Mrs. Lugo addressed the Committee about a purchase for 7th and 8th grade <br /> technology. She explained that in the end of FYo , the district had extra funds, <br /> Out of these funds, 23,000 was can ar ed to purchase a wireless cart. In error, <br /> mother technology purchase order for a license upgrade for $23,900 was <br /> approved. This purchase order was processed instead of the wireless cart. <br /> Ms. Lugo also explained that she has received a request to purchase a similar cart <br /> for Mashpee high school. The e isfing technology 1s past its Life span and not <br /> working properly. <br /> She stated that funding for the Middle School and Mashpee High School carts are <br /> needed for student technology. <br /> School Committee Regular Meeting 09/03/08 <br />
