Mashpee School Committee <br /> Regular fleeting <br /> January 7, 2009 <br /> Minutes <br /> Attendees: 1 laryrose Grady, Ralph 1 larcelli, Kathy Stanley, Janice Mills and Richard <br /> Bailey. Also in attendance were Superintendent Ann Bradshaw, Business Administrator <br /> Patricia Lugo and Student Advisor, Ashley Sousa. <br /> L Call Meeting to Order <br /> Mrs. Grady called the meeting to order at :30pm. <br /> II. Executive Session <br /> Mr. Bailey made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Mills to rove into executive session at <br /> :30pm for the purpose of personnel, negotiations and litigation. <br /> Roll Call vote—In favor-Mrs. Grady, Mr. l arcelli, Mrs. Stanley, Mrs. Mills and Mr. <br /> Bailey; opposed-none. <br /> The meeting resumed at :20pm <br /> III. Open Forum <br /> J.R. Nell from the Boys and Girls Club gave a presentation opposing the <br /> Extended Learning Time grant. <br /> Suzanne Avtges, Association President gave a short report regarding the concerns <br /> teachers have in respect to the budget. They are hopeful that there will he minimal staff <br /> cuts so as not to impact the students and would lire to have the librarian position at the <br /> Quashnet School reinstated. <br /> Iv. Approval of Minutes <br /> .1 Mrs. Mills made a motion, seconded by Mr. Mar elli to approve the <br /> December 3, 2008 School Committee minutes. <br /> vote: Unanimous <br /> V., Acknowledgements <br /> Mrs. Bradshaw read a letter from Donna Za sl e, Principal of KCC congratulating <br /> Kim Palmer, Art teacher and Lee Homer, Science teacher on receiving a$400 check <br /> from the Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank Charitable Foundation Trust. This money <br /> ill go to support the math curriculum. <br /> Thank you letter from Mary Loftus, Director of Development at the Woods <br /> Dole research center on the donation of o from the I -Kids. <br /> 1 <br />
