Mr. Franco made a motion, seconded by Mrs. dills to move forward in <br /> obtaining a grant for CASASTART, with the agreement that there would be no <br /> cost to the school. <br /> Vote: Unanimous <br /> i <br /> l 1.7 online Landbook <br /> Mrs. Bradshaw recommended that the school handbooks be put on online <br /> to reduce the cost of the printing. Students would receive a handbook in Grades <br /> K, 3rd, 7th & 9t'. Updates would be sent home at the beginning of each school <br /> year outlining the changes to the handbook. The Committee agreed that this <br /> would be another area where the schools can cut costs. <br /> XI1. Report from the Principals <br /> Ms. Zaesl e, KCC Principal gave an overview of events taking place at ICC <br /> focusing on the Kindergarten program. <br /> Mrs. DeBoer gave an update on QS school outlining the efforts the QS staff <br /> members make on a daily basis to prevent bullying. <br /> Mr. Winrow, MISS principal spore about the upcoming events at the high school. <br /> XIII. ARRA Grant— Ellen Bankston <br /> Mrs. Bankston gave an overview of the ARRA grants. <br /> XIV, FYI I Budget Status <br /> 14.1 Deductions: Expenses and Std ` <br /> Mrs.. Bradshaw presented a flowchart of the FYI 1 Budget. <br /> 14.2 Fees <br /> Mrs. Hortaridis gave a brief presentation regarding the possibility of <br /> instituting fees for transportation and athletics for 1 ashpee students. <br /> Mrs. Mills made a notion, seconded by Mr. Franco to not approve fees for <br /> transportation. <br /> Vote: Unanimous <br /> Mr. Bailey made a motion, seconded by Mr. Franco to not approve fees <br /> for athletics. <br /> Vote: Unanimous <br /> 14.3 Petition Artier <br /> Mr. Bailey reminded everyone to attend Town Meeting on May 3 and <br /> shove their support for the schools. <br /> Mrs. Mills stated she was no longer in favor of the petition article <br /> requesting $450,000 from the Town's "rainy day fund". <br /> XV. Gifts for Graduates <br /> i The Committee agreed to buy `'oh, the Places I Shall Go", by Dr. Seuss as a gift <br /> for the graduating class of 2010. <br /> 3 <br />
