TITLE: MAINTENANCE WORKER <br /> QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High School Graduate <br /> 2. Demonstrated ability and three years of previous <br /> experience <br /> 3 . Such alternatives to the above qualifications as <br /> the School Committee may find appropriate and <br /> acceptable <br /> REPORTS TO: Head Custodian <br /> PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: <br /> 1 . Assists in the day-to-day maintenance work in and around the various <br /> schools buildings and in the shop. <br /> 2 . Performs the following maintenance tasks, when necessary: sawing, <br /> drilling, nailing, erecting staging, refinishing furniture, ins <br /> hardware, installing glass, scraping, sanding, laying floors, talling <br /> repairing broken equipment, painting, etc. <br /> 3 . Move furniture and equipment between schools. <br /> 4. Operates power tools as directed. <br /> 5 . Cleans up work areas and shop floor daily. <br /> 6. Considers safety factors, protection of property and makes necessary <br /> recommendations to Head Custodian. <br /> 7. Insures that maintenance equipment is serviceable, safe and clean. <br /> 8. In the absence of custodians, may serve in that capacity for a short <br /> period of time. <br /> TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 months <br /> EVALUATION: A minimum of twice a <br /> year. <br /> RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL OTHER DUTIES ASSIGNED BY THE HEAD CUSTODIAN. <br /> SC [7/9/91] <br />
