i School Committee Finance Meeting f May 25, 2011 Minutes Attendees were: Kathy Stanley, Jose Franco, Janice Mills, Scott McGeeand David Bloomfield. Also in attendance were Ann Bradshaw, Superintendent of Schools and l aura Hortaridis, Business Manager. L Call Meetine to Order Mrs. Stanley called the meeting to order at :3 m. II. *Minutes of Ayril 27, 2011 1r . Mills made a motion, seconded by Mr. McGee to approve the minutes of the April 27"Finance meeting. Roll Call vote: In favor- Mrs. Stanley, Mrs. Mills and Mr. McGee. Mr. Franco and Mr. Bloomfield abstained from voting; opposed none. I11. Business Adn nistrator• s Report 3.1 FYI Budget Monthly Report Mrs. Hortaridis gave an update on the FYI I budget. 3.2 Status of Grants Revolving Accounts and L,unh Fro am Mrs. Hortaridis gage an update on grants, revolving accounts and the lunch program. 3. *Special Education Transportation Bid There was an en bid session on Monday, Ilay 16 '. Cape Cod Collaborative gave us a bid of$573,263 —this is 100,737 less than last bid. Cape Destinations dict not submit a bid and Cape Cod Services Company only bid on 3 out of district mutes for a total o 123,300. We will be meeting again with Collaborative to see if we can negotiate a lower cost by looking at redesigning the routes. Mrs.,Hortaridis will give the Committee an update at the next meeting. i 1v. *Non-union salary increases-Food Service, administrators, support personnel (following Unit A & Unit C agreements of 2% on November rember l 5 Mrs. Mills made a motion, seconded by Mr. Franco to approve the salary increases for the Food Service Department. Doll Call vote: 1n favor—Mrs. Stanley, Mr. Franco, Mrs. Mills, Mr. McGee and Mr. Bloomfield; opposed—none. Mrs.. Mills made a motion, seconded by Mr. Franco to approve the salary increases for non-union administrators and support personnel. Roll Call vote: 1n favor—Mrs. Stanley, Mr. Franco, Mrs. Mills and Mr. Bloomfield; opposed—Mr. McGee. passes -1. i . l
