School Committee Regular Meeting <br /> Minutes <br /> January 4, 2012 <br /> In attendance were: Kathy Stanley,-Jose Franco, Janice Mills, Scott McGee and David <br /> Bloomfield. Also in attendance was Ann Bradshaw, Superintendent of Schools <br /> I. Call Meting to order <br /> Kathy Stanley called meeting to order @6:05pm <br /> II. Pledge of Allegiance <br /> 111. Athletic Director Mike a Horne-Presentation of 2011 Super Bowl Trophy <br /> Mr. Horne presented the 201.1 Super Bowl Trophy along with several other <br /> trophies received by Mashpee athletes. Mr. Horne thanked everyone for thee-continued <br /> support of the athletic program. <br /> IV. Representative Davin vleir <br /> 4.1 Presentation of Citation <br /> Representative vleira and Representative blunt presented Ir. Horne with <br /> a citation of excellence from the Home of Representatives for the 1 lashpee <br /> Falcons Super Bowl grin. <br /> 4.2 Updates on Legislation Affecting School Committees <br /> Representative Vieira and Representative Hunt gave an informative talk <br /> regarding updates on legislation which affects School Committees. <br /> .v, Mas Math and Science Initiative—Morton Orlov,President of the <br /> Massachusetts Math and Science Initiative <br /> Mr. Orlov, President of MMS1 gave an update regarding Mashpee"s progress in <br /> the NIMBI initiative. l lashpee is a MMS1 leader. <br /> V1. Student Advisory Commute <br /> Mr. Wray presented the Student Advisory Council report to the Committee. <br /> V11. Deport of the Indian Education Parent Cornmittee <br /> A brief update was given by Allison Pocknett, Chairperson for the <br /> Indian Education Parent Committee. <br /> VIII. Tribal Education Department <br /> Cedric Cromwell,, Tribal Chairman and Renee Pocknett, Tribal <br /> Education Director spoke about their goals and visions for the native students. <br /> Communication between the Tribal Council and the Schools will remain open and active. <br />
