s <br /> Page <br /> informed the Committee that so far $80, 000 has been spent and he <br /> wished to save the taxpayers some money and have the Job done. <br /> correctly. <br /> Contracts <br /> The Cormnittee reviewed the analysis benefits which Mr. <br /> Thritenour had provided, Mr. Whrltenour felt it would be a helpful <br /> guide. Juan Haci alupi Motioned to schedule a joint meeting with <br /> the Board of Selectmen on Monday, September 30th at PM. Mr. <br /> Watt seconded the Motion and members approved 5-0 . Mr. Whrintenour <br /> felt that a consensus should be made on cash items . Another item <br /> for discussion is Bufflehead Bay. <br /> Administrator's Unit Agreement <br /> The Executive Secretary provided the Finance Committee with <br /> information they had requested, but asked that information <br /> contained be kept out of the press . Mr, Golub. felt a problem with <br /> the. contract is that it negated step increases, but does contain <br /> steps . Mr. Golub mentioned that certain employees receive an <br /> increase of 1 %� and not the 11 which had been agreed to previously <br /> by the. Finance Committee . Chairman Golub had concerns that all <br /> other- unions. in Town stayed within the 11 and it would cause <br /> problems at future negotiations- if these. employees got 135k . Mr. <br /> Whritenouar responded that it is an -issue of reclassification. The <br /> new union was certified on June 30, 1996 . When asked,. Mr. <br /> hritenour .stated that he and the Selectmen feel this is a very <br /> good contract . Mr. Goggin agreed with the increase f'or certain <br /> employees dues to reclassification. Mr. Bacigalupi mentioned <br /> removing the stipend for paramedics on page 5.. Ms . l ommelmeyer <br /> left the meeting at the conclusion of this discussion at -:50 M# <br /> Network Administrator <br /> The group- spoke about the candidate chosen for this position. Mr. <br /> Goggin asked if the individual has a degree? Mr. Whritenour <br /> answered an Associate' s Degree. Mr. Goggin mentioned that the <br /> qualifications asked for a Bachelor of Science Degree. It was the <br /> feeling that it eras- too late to change things . <br /> Other BUBiness <br /> i <br /> Mr., Golub asked the Executive Secretary to bring the Committee up <br /> to date on Federal Funding. Mr. Whritenour responded that there <br /> were many questions and it is his feeling that the article will be <br /> postponed. <br /> Mr. Whritenour passed out copies of school enrollment projections <br /> for the Committee' s review. <br /> Mr. Goggin informed the Committee- that Anne Shaw, Treasurer, had <br />
