Page 2 Chairman Golub mentioned that the update of the Long Range Plan is needed. Mr. Golub mentioned that he has been trying to reach Mr. Goggin to see how far he has gotten on this matter. Mr. Golub also mentioned that Dr. DeMoura is looking for $1.2 million in salaries alone. Mr. Bacigalupi informed the. Corimittee that the Selectmen would be meeting the next day for their budget session. Mr. Golub also mentioned that the Capital. Improvement Committee would be starting up again. Mr. Golub stated that he would entertain a Motion f rom the Committee that 2 1/2 would be the absolute limit that the town should increase taxes and all budgets should take that into consideration pending the development of the Long Range Plan. Mr. Bacigalupi Motioned to inform the Selectmen at their meeting the net day that the Finance Committee voted that 2 1/2 would be the absolute limit to increase taxes and all departments should be aware of this as they prepare their budgets, pending the development of the Long Range Plan. Tony Gallo seconded the Motion and members approved 5-0 . Public Safety The Finance Committee agreed that they would meet on January 7. 1997 at the Fire Department at : 5PM and at the Police Department on January 28th at 6 : 5PM. Mr. Bacigalupi would be contacting both the Fire Chief and the Police Chief to schedule meetings. Juan Bacigalupi Motioned to adjourn theira ul.ar session a PM and eater into Executive Session, in order to discuss the Police contract . The Committee would not go back into regular session a the adjournment of the Executive Session meeting. Nancy Goulart seconded the Motion. The Committee voted. fancy Goulart yes .
