2 <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Assessor's Office/Mapping Item: <br /> Mr. Golub noted that he contacted the Assessor's Office to get a feeling as to whether <br /> they were supporting the item of mapping submitted as part of this year's 1998 program. <br /> He is still waiting for an official position from the Assessor's Office. <br /> Action Items from March 11 Meeting: <br /> Mr. Golub reviewed the Action Items from the meeting of Tuesday,March 11: <br /> Dan Goggin: <br /> Mr. Goggin noted that the Accountant is on vacation and she will get back to him. <br /> Regarding Article 17--The Town Clerk is asking for a part-time person to be made a <br /> full-time person. This is on the Town Warrant. <br /> Mr. Goggin stated that the Treasurer will get back to him. Mr.Golub noted that we <br /> need <br /> to have a position on the Article for the Treasurer's salary in by next week. <br /> Mr. Golub noted that the Finance Committee needs to have their recommendations <br /> submitted <br /> to Mr. Whritenour by March 31. <br /> Mr. Golub stated that he talked to Mr. Whritenour regarding the fuel rebates brought up <br /> by <br /> the Police Chief at last week's meeting. He noted that Mr. Whritenour did not know <br /> anything <br /> about it. Mr. Whritenour stated that he would look into this when the Town Accountant <br /> returns. <br /> In reference to Article#19,the Finance Committee needs to talk to the Town <br /> Accountant. <br /> Nancy Goulart: <br /> Mrs. Goulart noted that she could not speak with Diane Rommelmeyer in reference to <br /> Article 44 because she is in Springfield at a class. She will talk to her when she gets <br /> back. <br /> Mrs. Goulart noted that she talked to the Herring Warden in reference to Article 16. <br /> She said there was a grant for$5,000. The project starts after July 1, so he wanted to <br /> push that money to the new fiscal year. Mrs. Goulart questioned if he had the$5,000. <br /> The Herring Warden stated that they used some of the money and he will get back to <br /> her. Mrs. Goulart will check into this further. <br /> Alec Watt: <br /> Mr. Watt noted he has nothing to report on the fuel bids right now. Mr. Golub stated <br /> that he discussed this with Mr. Whritenour;and, as a result of previous conversations <br /> with Greg Taylor and the Chief of Police, he suggested that bids for fuel should be made <br /> with separate fuel needs—bids for diesel,bids for regular. Mr. Whritenour stated that <br /> whatever the Finance Committee recommends on this issue is no problem. <br />
