Report that <br /> the Finance Conunittee does not recommend acceptance of the report of the <br /> Capital Improvement program Committee entitled`Fiscal Year 1998, Capital <br /> Improvement Program Chairman's Report"dated February 14, 1997.XP <br /> Second by Mr. Gallo. <br /> Approved: Mr. Golub,Mr. Goggin,Mr. Gallo,.Mrs. Goulart <br /> Opposed: Mr. Cleary,Mr. Watt,Mr. Kumin <br /> Vote: Approved/3 Opposed <br /> Motion Approved. <br /> SPECIAL TOWN MEETING,ARTICLE#I1 FOUNDATION RESERVE GRANT: <br /> In reference to Article 1 I concerning the appropriation and transfer of$190,000 from the <br /> Foundation Reserve Grant Account to the F ' 1998 School Budget Account,Mr. Golub noted <br /> that he taped with Mr. Whritenour and with Diane Ro melmeyer. Mr. Golub stated that he <br /> was informed by Mr. Whritenour that this will not affect the school's spending ability in 1998 <br /> no natter how much is approved for their budget. Mrs.Rommelmeyer informed Mr. Golub <br /> that it will. Mr. Golub requested Mrs. Romelineer to discuss this Article#I l with <br /> Mr. Whritenour and come back us with a position that is consistent between the two of them. <br /> Mr. Goggia clarified that the Town Accountant is stating if we approve the$190,000, those <br /> monies will go direly to the school department in addition to the Omnibus budget figure. <br /> Mir. Golub stated that Mrs. Rom elmey r will get back to hien after she discusses this Article <br /> with Mr. Whritenour. The Finance Committee's position on this Article will remain on Hold <br /> until u-ther information is obtained. <br /> SPECUL TOWN MEETING,ARTICLE ,POLICE CONTRACT; <br /> Mr. Watt stated that he has reread the agreements for the police and Fire and based on the <br /> j information brought up by Mir. Coggin at the meeting tonight from the Massachusetts <br /> Department of Revenue,Division of Local Services,he can see that the Mashpe Police and <br /> Fire are above the group average and the state average for per capita and function.
