MASSACHUSETTS DEPARTMENT OF NUE: Chairman Watt distributed a copy of a letter received from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts',Department of Revenue. Enclosed with the letter was Form CS l-E (Notice to Assessors of Estimated Receipts to be Used in Determining the Tax Levy);Form CS 1-E (Notice to Assessors of Estimated Charges to be Used in Determining the Tax Levy); and Form CS -E (Notice to Regional School Districts of Estimated Receipts). Also enclosed was the Fiscal 1998 Cherry Sheet Aid analysis for Mashpee. The letter and enclosures were reviewed by the Finance Committee. FREE 'ASH: Chairman watt informed the Finance Committee that he talked to Diane l om elmeyer, Town Accountant, concerning the free cash. He stated that she is not committing to anything on free cash. She is estimating 1.8 million. Mr. Nutt noted that there is a deficit in the budget of a million dollars. Mr. Golub noted that the Finance Committee needs to meet with Mr. Whritenour when he gets back from vacation in order to review the revenue picture which would match against expenditures. ARTICLES FOR OCTOBER 6 ANNUAL TOWN MEETING: Chairman Watt distributed a copy of the Town of Mashpee Annual'Town Meeting arrant (Draft 1 dated.duly 2 , 1997 with revisions dated August 7, 1997). Chairman Watt stated that the warrant has to be published-by September 6, 1997. Mr. Golub made a motion that a letter be written to Mr- Wiritenour concerning the iterations of the Annual Town Meeting Warrant. He stated that it should be requested that any subsequent iterations of the Warrant should contain references to prior article numbers. Motion seconded by Mrs_ Goulart. Vote: Unanimous. - . The Finance Committee reviewed the articles for the October Annual'Town Meeting.
