BUDGET: <br /> Dave Bailey carne to discuss the UP budget. He said that the Committee had reviewed <br /> requests for 1. +million and had reduced the F 99 budgct to$510,250. lir. Golub inquired <br /> whether the Committee had prioritized the respective capital items within the FY99 budget. <br /> Mr.Bailey replied that the Committee had specifically rejected such an approach because it <br /> was their belief that public safety purchases would always trump the needs of lesser <br /> departments. <br /> Motion to Ap2.rove CIP End et: <br /> Mr. Teary made a motion to approve tete GTP Budget in the <br /> amount of$5101,250. <br /> Motion seconded by Mr.I umin. <br /> Vote:Passed 3-2. <br /> Approved: Teary,l umin, Goulart <br /> Opposed: Golub, Watt <br /> Note: Mr. Golub moved to amend the motion;however,there was no <br /> second on the amendment, <br /> REUEST FOR TRANSFEX BOARD OF HEAL'T'H: <br /> Request for Transfer was submitted from the Board of Health in the amount of 10,000 to <br /> clean up a parcel of land acquired by the Town by tax foreclosure. Mh McQuaid stated that <br /> the Board considered the site a hazard to youth playing in the area and that IABP would <br /> inevitably order the site cleaned up at a cost to the town in excess of$50,000. Through <br /> joint effort with the County and the Massachusetts Military Reservation the cost to the town <br /> can be reduced to$10,,000. <br />
