Mashpee Finance Committee Minutes Tuesday,-September 29, 1998 NI Present: Chairwoman fancy Goulart Dean Arden, Steve Cashman, Alec Nutt Absent: Sidney Golub,like Iumin Meeting Called to Order by Chairwoman soul rt at 6:45 p.m. at the Mashpee Town lull, Meeting Room 1,on Tuesday, September 29, 1998. FINANCE.CONMTTEE.. CT. BEI ToW N MEETING WARRANT, NT: October Town Meetina,Article 4--Contract Between'Town and Local 389 EBPo: Chairwoman Goulart noted that the$43,000 savings on the overtime is applied to this Article and that the funding for this article is$82,994 and not the$125,994 as previously noted. It was noted by Mr. Watt that he would still like to discuss this Article with Mr. Whritenour concerning the amount of overtime money. The Finance Committee discussed meeting prior to Torn Meeting at 6:30 P.M. in order to discuss this Article. It was agreed that members would meet at 6:30 P.M.instead of 7:00 P.M. Finance Committee Position: Finance Committee to recommend at'Town Meeting. October Town Meefin&Article 5—Contract Between Town and Local 2519, ]Firefighters: Mar. Arden noted that the Fire'Contract is not officially settled at this time. Mr.Arden will M&to Robert Whritenour regarding the status and amount of this contract. Finance Committee Position: Finance Committee to recommend at Town Meeting. October Town„MeetYn Article 1 —Amend Bylaw for Finance Committee: The Finance Committee members discussed this Article and the results of the meeting last week with the Selectmen. Mr. Watt discussed the possibility of indefinitely ppstpoping this.Article--until they get committee together to decide what kind of comprehensive approach will be taken on this issue.
