8 Board of Selectmen Minutes April 4, 2018 NEW BUSINESS Discussion and Adoption of Board of Selectmen Policy#076—Complete Streets: Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to adopt new Policy #076; Complete Streets. Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. Roll Call Vote: Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes Opposed, none Approval of Reappointment to Board of Registrars, Susan Regan Term expires March 31 2021): Correspondence was received from.Deborah Dami, Town Clerk dated April 2, 2018 recommending the reappointment of Susan Regan to the Board of Registrars. Ms. Regan represents the unenrolled voters of Mashpee. Her term is due to expire on March 31, 2018. The reappointment term would expire on March 31, 2021. Motion made by Selectman Sherman to reappoint Susan Regan to the Board of Registrars for a three year term as referenced. Motion seconded by Selectman Gottlieb. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. Roll Call Vote: Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes Opposed, none Discussion of Digital Marquee at Mashpec Middle/High School: The Board of Selectmen was in receipt of communication from Michael Mendoza, Building Commissioner dated April 5, 2018 with respect to the proposed digital marquee to replace the pre- existing sign on Route 151, Mashpee. The Design Review Committee met with representatives of the School Committee regarding the proposed sign and voted 2-1 in support of the marquee and its size with the following conditions; colors of the body to be earth tone, timing of the message to be a 25 second intervals, 100 lumens per square foot and colors on the motion screen to be a white background with blue lettering. Board of Selectmen Chair Thomas F. O'Hara requested the Board's consideration to bring the matter of the digital marquee to Town Meeting to approve the conditions set forth by the Design Review Committee. Although there is an exemption under the Town's Sign Bylaw for signs erected by governmental agencies, Selectman O'Hara indicated this may be the right course of action.
