10 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> February 12, 2018 <br /> Approval Ten�po'ar in permit Application} Mattress Fundraiser} Andy Troanos: <br /> A Temporary Sign permit Application was presented to the Board from Andy Tro anon dated <br /> February 4, 2018 for the Annual Mattress Fundraiser to be held at the Mashpee MiddlelHi h School to <br /> benefit the Music Department. The date of the event is March 3, 018. <br /> Twenty to twenty-five 18"x24" signs are proposed to be placed at various locations within the Town <br /> of Mashpee. A brief discussion followed before the Board took action. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to approve the Temporary Sign Permit Application for the <br /> Mattress Fundraiser for a maximum amount of(1 0) signs, to not exceed the number of signs <br /> permissible in the Tom's Sign Policy. <br /> Lotion seconded by Selectmen Cotton. <br /> VOTE.* Unanimous. -0. <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman Sherman,yes <br /> Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes opposed, none <br /> LIAISON REPORT <br /> Water Quality Meeting: Selectman Gottlieb was invited to attend the upcoming Town of Falmouth water <br /> Quality Committee meeting to review the permit structure related to the potential inter-municipal agreement <br /> between the Towns of Mashpee, Sandwich and Falmouth. <br /> Special Events: The Holiday Parade Committee is planning December's event. A snow date will be included <br /> in Special Everts Application <br /> Substance Abuse Council: The monthly Drop in Dight remains a huge success in drug prevention and <br /> recovery. The program established by the Mashpee Human Services Committee will soon become a <br /> successful model for other Cape communities. <br /> Assembly of Dele aces: It was reported that budget meetings are ongoing. To offset budgetary constraints, <br /> the County is proposing to eliminate the phone system and install equipment that is compatible with the <br /> computer system for increased efficiency. <br /> With regards to the County budget, it was recommended the Town of Mashpee support water quality <br /> initiatives that apparently the County may not be funding. Also, with the retirement of the Town Planner, <br /> there is also a vacancy on the water Protection Collaborative. <br /> Cape Rail & Trail System: Selectman O'Hara is planning a legislative visit on the State level with <br /> Representative vicira to review the proposed Cape Rai I & Trall system. <br />
