6 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> February 26, 2018 <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Review and Discussion of Draft#1 May 75 018 Town Meeting Warrant: <br /> The Board of Selectmen reviewed Draft#1 of the May 7, 2018 Special and Annual Town Meeting <br /> waiTant. It is anticipated the warrant would be finalized at the March 26, 2018 Selectmen's Meeting to <br /> conform to publishing requirements. <br /> Special Town Meeting warrant: <br /> Article #1: To deficit spend the Snow& Ice Account---,-Amount to be determined. <br /> Article ##6: Community Preservation article to appropriate $167,000 to fund the Habitat for <br /> Humanity Scattered Site Mashpee Community Housing Project which includes the <br /> construction of 3 hones and the purchase of property. ARTICLE HELD <br /> There were questions regarding this project which require further information regarding the <br /> Derass Road parcel which is part of a subdivision plan with conditions imposed by the Planning <br /> Board for affordable housing and why the developer did not adhere to the condition to construct the <br /> affordable hone at the site location if this was a part of the subdivision plan. <br /> In addition,the Board of Selectmen requested information as to why two hones are planned to be <br /> constructed on a non-conforming lot that is deemed unbuildable. <br /> Annual Town Fleeting warrant: <br /> Article ## : To fund the annual operating budgets for various Town Departments <br /> The Town Manager Recommendation for the omnibus Budget was amended and outlined in several <br /> categories. However, the final budget recommendation of$57,029,039 remains the sane. <br /> Town Manager Rodney C. Collins indicated that although the Town is not operating on the <br /> presumption there is a hiring freeze,the budget is reflective of vacant positions from last year that <br /> have not been funded. <br /> .Article 45: To add funds to the Other Postemployment Benefits Irrevocable Trust Fund (OPER) <br /> Funds are approximately 00,000; actual funding to be determined. <br /> Article #9: To fund road improvement pro j ects under the Chapter 9 o program <br /> Amount amended from $605,856 to $600,9856. <br /> Article 10: To create an additional fall-time 40 hour per week $94,746 Assistant Health Agent <br /> position in the Health Department to perform rental certificate program inspections and other duties as <br /> required under the job description.
