New Business

The Chair introduced Evan Lehrer, the Town of Mashpee’s new Town Planner. Evan briefly reviewed
his background.

The Chair gave an overview of past projects. She said EDIC is a sounding board to help businesses.
She noted they helped KnockAboutBrewery and work with him to change the zoning. His soft opening
hopefully will be March 24. He is inviting all the boards and committees who were involved with his
opening. She said EDIC would like to work with other businesses who need help we will walk them
through the process. She said she sends the minutes and agendas from the Design Review Board to the
members and we can go to their meetings.

The Chair said EDIC has talked about the Evergreen Project and Denise did some research. Denise
noted she has to be careful because ethically she can’t approach anyone because she is a real estate
agent. She can bring the information to their meetings and once we have made contact she can then but
she cannot be the initiator because it could be perceived she is going after the listing. Denise distributed
some research on Echo Road and Evergreen Energy LLC. The contact persons are Mark A. Govoni,
and Nicholas Pastore.

There was a discussion on hotel/motels in Mashpee. Evan suggested a mixed use: hotel/motel, condos,
retail. If you can make it feasible by incorporation of other uses that are complimentary not in
competition with the hotel.

The Chair noted the town owns 6.5 acres next to the Community Health Center and Marshalls and it
was designated we would work with someone who wants to build a hotel in town. Hotels who want to
come in want waterfront property. Evan said there are a lot of opportunities to explore uses depending
