■ <br /> Mashpee Finance Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> Tuesday,August 24, 1999 <br /> Present; Chairwoman Nancy Goulart <br /> Dean Arden,Jeff Arnold,Steve Cashman,Sidney Golub,James Morgan <br /> Absent: None <br /> Also Ione <br /> Present: <br /> Meeting Called.to Order by Chairwoman Goulart at 6:32 p.m.at the l ashpee Town Mall, <br /> Meeting Room ,on Tuesday,August 24, 1999. <br /> MEETING WITH <br /> SHERWOOD FLEURY,,.SCHOOLSUPERINTENDENT <br /> RUSSELL MCGOWAN, SCHOOL BUSINESS MANAGER <br /> R <br /> Mr.Arden stated that he invited the new School Superintendent, Sherwood Fleury,and the <br /> new School business Manager,Mussell McGowan,to the France Conxittee meetin of this <br /> evening,August 24,or the Finance Committee's next meeting scheduled for August 31. <br /> GENERATOR FOR PUBLIC WORKS BUILDING: <br /> MW <br /> Mr.Golub questioned what was Mr. Greg Taylor's rationale for his presentation at the last <br /> Finance Committee meeting regarding the new generator for the Public works building. <br /> Chairwoman Ooulart noted that W.Taylor wanted to see how the Finance Committee felt <br /> about the situation and to obtain the support of the Finance Committee. <br /> Mr. Morgan stated that Mr.Taylor's rationale was that he had two options—one being the <br /> Capital Improvement Program and the other being to bring it in as an emergency. Mr. <br /> Morgan noted that Mr.Taylor was requesting the guidance of the Finance Committee. <br /> Chairwoman Ooulart commented that Mr.Taylor had one bid and still needed to get two <br /> other bids. <br /> After discussion among the Finance Committee members,it was agreed that Mr.Taylor's <br /> request for a new generator should go through the C.I.P. first. <br /> Motion test To Gu Tiro h C.Q.P.: <br /> Mr. Golub made a motion that the position.of the Finance Committee .. <br /> should be that any capital requests should first pass through the C.I.P. <br /> foi heir review;then,if that doesn't wort,come back before the <br /> Finance Committee for further review and discussion. <br /> Motion seconded by Mr. Ardent. <br /> Vote:Unanimous 6-0. <br />
