Mashpee Finance Committee Minutes Monday,May 1,2000 SPECIAL AND ANNUAL MAY TOWN MEETING Present: Chairman Dean Arden Jeff Arnold, Sidney Golub,Nancy Goulart,Janes Morgan Absent: Steve Cashman,Chuck Sheehan The Finance Committee Meeting was called to order by Chairman Dean Arden at'7:x'7 P.M. at the Qu shnet School Gymnasium on Monday,May 1,2000. HERRING WARDEN: Mr. Morgan submitted a memo to Chairman Dean Arden regarding justification for the increase from level funding of the Herring Warden Salary/wage in the FY2001 Omnibus Budget. The memo outlined what Mr.Morgan will state at the Town Meeting in reference to the increase by the Finance Committee in the Herring'warden Salary/Wage from$1, oo to $1,500. SCHOOL EMERGENCY FUNDING FOR REPLACEMENT of AIR UNITS/COOMBS SCHOOL: Mr. Arden stated that at the Finance Committee meeting on March 21,2000,Mashpee School Superintendent,Mr. Sherwood Fluery,and Mr. Russell 11Gown,llashpe School Business Manager,were present to request the Finance Committee's support of funding emergency money to replace the air exchange units at the Coombs School. At that time,the figure given to replace the units was an estimate. The Finance Committee,on March 21,2000,made a motion,seconded,and approved that the Finance Committee support the funding of the emergency money for the Coombs School. The motion states that the estimate,at this point, is for approximately$20,000. Mr.Arden informed the Committee that the actual money to be requested to the School from the reserve fund has been determined to be$20,450 and that another motion.needs to be made by the Finance Committee noting this exact amount of money to be transferred. Motion to Transfer Mon2l From Reserve Fund: Mrs, Goulart made a motion that the Finance Committee approve the Request for Transfer from the Reserve Fund to the School in the amount of$20,450 for the replacement of the air exchange units. Motion seconded by Mr. Golub. Vote: Unanimous. 4-0.
