Members present interviewed Ms. Quirk. Terrie Cook moved that the committee <br /> recommend Ms. Quirk for employment as eorntnittee secretary to the Board of Selectmen. <br /> James Morgan seconded. <br /> Vote: 5- 0, unanimous <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> There was no Old Business before the committee. <br /> NEW BUINESS <br /> Transfer of Funds Brom Reserve Fund to Selectmen's Account, Town Administrator Joyce <br /> Mason and Fire Chief George Baker presented a case of an injured fire fighter,the long-tern <br /> treatment for whom has resulted in arrears in medical expenses to the town anticipated to be <br /> $2 l,000 through the end of GY03. Dean Arden moved to authorize the transfer of$21,000 from <br /> the Reserve Fund to the Selectmen's account. Tyrie Cook seconded. <br /> Vote: 5-0, unanimous <br /> School Funding Request. <br /> Kathleen Lynch presented information from the recent MMA Conference on potential shortfalls <br /> in expected state aid for the remainder of FY03 and for FY04. She also briefed the.committee <br /> on her discussions with the Superintendent of Schools and the School Committee. The school <br /> administration has indicated a need for an increase of up to 11% over FY03 funding to provide <br /> level service. A meeting among Selectmen,Finance Committee, and School Committee <br /> representatives is anticipated once the analysis of available revenues i completed. No votes <br /> � p <br /> were taken. <br />
