MASHPEE FINANCECOMMITTEE <br /> MINUTES- <br /> 'IU '' April 13,2004 <br /> Present: Chairnan, Carlton Meredith <br /> Bean Arden, Gerald Umina,Jinn Turner,Frederick Blythe <br /> Absent: Kathleen Lynch, Scott Wellington <br /> CALL TO ORDER: <br /> Chairrnan Meredith called a meeting o -t e Finance Committee to order at 7:01 at Mashpee <br /> Town I-tall, Selectman's Conference Room. <br /> A ACMST ATIW: <br /> Candidate for Board Secretary, Patricia Bachand <br /> Fred Blythe made a motion to recommend to the Personnel Director to recommend <br /> PatriciaBachand to the position of Board Secretary for the Finance Committee. .banes <br /> Turner seconded the motion. Unanimous approval. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> • Article 15—Revolving Account for the DPW <br /> DPW currently provides services for private roads. Homeowners reimburse the town <br /> treasury. Article 15 petitioners request that this money go into a DPW revolving account <br /> to be used to replace equipment. finance Committee members believe this is not good <br /> seal policy. Carl Meredith VAR ask the Town Treasurer how much money the DPW <br /> generates on a year basis for these services. <br /> — Gerald Umina will contact the DPW department head to find out his opinion on the <br /> article. <br /> "financial Reports <br /> JIM Tumer.leas experienced difficulty developing the proposed consolidated financial <br /> report due to inability to obtain useful_information from town departments. <br /> If the proposed Town Charter is approved, a FinComconsolidated report would be moot. <br /> Because there will.be so many new pinCom.members atter town elections, it was decided <br /> to dxop the consolidated financial report project. <br />
