MASHPFE DANCE COMMITTIEF <br /> MINUTES <br /> TUESDAY,NOVTNIBER 99 2004 <br /> Present: Chairman Gerald Umin <br /> Chris Avis, Chuck Dottridge, Ken Patrick <br /> Guest: Chuck Gasior Charter Commission/Finance Review Committee <br /> CALL To ORDER <br /> Chairman Umina called a meeting of the Finance Committee to order at 7:28pm at the Mashpee Town <br /> Hall, Meeting Room 2. <br /> NEW BUSINESS � <br /> Financial Report <br /> 0 Mr. Gasior reviewed the mandate of the Town Charter for a report to be produced by the <br /> Finance Committee for the voters. He highlighted the key goals of the report as follows- <br /> - <br /> ol ows-- to provide residents with a clear and easily readable financial report, and - - <br /> - to relate the budget to the tax rate. <br /> a -1 -. Gasior provided a.report from the Town of Bourne for sample context and format. <br /> a Chairman Umina and Mr_ Avis questioned whether the $10,000 budgeted for the report is a <br /> separate and additional amount over the Committee"s standard budget. Mr. Gasior <br /> indicated the Commission intended it to be separate and additional_ <br /> ■ Committee discussed concerns over the tinming of the report vs. availability of information <br /> and fiscal year end dates. <br /> Meeting Scheduling <br /> ■ Chairman Umina addressed the possibility of changing some meetings to alternate days to <br /> accommodate more committee members. <br /> ■ Committee decided on a schedule of meetings through February as noted below. <br /> APPROVAL OF MIENUTS <br /> Ken Patrick made a motion to 'approve the Finance Committee minutes from October 18, amended to <br /> reflect Committee's final decisions on Town Meeting Articles 10 and 15. Chris Avis seconded the <br /> notions. Minutes approved unanimously. <br /> FUTURE S TINGS of FINANCE COMMrrTEE <br /> The next scheduled Finance Committee meeting will be held on Wednesday, December.22 at 7:00prn <br /> in Mashpee Town gall.
