M. <br /> arrm�as 4r.1.. 1 <br /> Discussion: Don MacDonald received the Harbormaster's year- end report, Al Turner noted that after the <br /> unruly crowd moved to Mashpee wakeby from John's Pond, safety inspections, Citations and removal <br /> of noncompliant vessels were instituted, and there was improvement by mid- July. There were no major <br /> ineidents on the pond. Al issued 5 new moorings on the pond to residents living near Maslpee wakeby <br /> Lake. Town Counsel recommended not disclosing citations. <br /> Ikon also mentioned that Al had obtained a 22 ft. Malo boat, mercury ergine and trailer from KY at the <br /> end of November which may be used on Maslipee wakeby lake <br /> group of duck hunters from. PA, that were on the lake in November wag checked out by the <br /> Harbormaster and Mass Environmental police and was all licensed and legal. <br /> Conclusions: The Harbormaster sent a year- end report to us. There were no major incidents on the pond <br /> Y <br /> in 2017 <br /> 11 AN 010, <br /> - . <br /> Boat Ram �[J dat <br /> Q[Agend'JoI <br /> Discussion: As new information on the-ramp was received by Don at the waterways meeting, it was <br /> motioned by Barbara -and seconded by Ikon to add it to our agenda. Rick orl,,- and Al will contact the <br /> State, which has the money and equipment to haul sand in and add precast concrete extensions to the ramp <br /> to help repair the damage from power lifting. This was discussed at waterways and Hon followed up with <br /> an email to Rick and Al voicing the support of this committee. It is hoped that the depailment of Natural <br /> Resources can move the State to complete this.work by spring. <br /> Conclusions: The State boat ramp needs repair and it is hoped that it will be completed before spring, <br /> l l � ri <br /> is <br /> 'Water ua t o t <br /> el _ a <br /> g <br /> 1 <br /> Discussion: The history of water Quality testing in Town was discussed by Barbara, who had been a <br /> member of PALS testing groups for over tern years. Barbara gave Mike-the drawing of the lake b <br /> Mass.gov/Cafes and ponds, and pointed out the deep holes where previous testing had been done. Rick <br /> York has offered like a Do testing meter to use in the spring. Rick York took over the fresh water <br /> testing two years ago and the status of the program is unknown. Mike Rapacz will discuss with Rick <br /> York and report back to us. <br /> Don MacDonald heads up the marine water quality testing, which is reported to Brian Howes at UMass <br /> Dat tmouth, This committee has not been involved in the testing, but has reported results and treads in the <br /> newsletter. <br /> Conclusions: Mike Rapacz is looping into fresh water quality testing on the lake and thinking of doing <br /> testing if the Natural Resource Dept. is not already doing it. <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 8:04 PIIS <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Barbara B.
