i Mashpee Finance Committee Minutes March 6,2007 Mashpee Town Hall,Room##3 Meeting called to order: Chairman Chris Avis called Public Dearing of the Finance Committee to order at 6:40 p.m. at the Mashpee Town Mall, Present: Chris Avis, Chairman; Chuck Gasior,vice Chairman; Sandra Lindsey, and Bill Johnson. Absent: Lynda.Carroll; Bob Hutchinson; Ken Patrick. Others: Joyce Mason,son,To Manager; Rene lead, Assistant Town Manager; Terrie Cook, Assistant Vice Chairman—Board of Selectman; ,Jinn Long, Council on Aging. 1. Approval of Minutes: Chris Avis moved to approve the Minutes of the Finance Committee of February 13, 2007. Chuck Gasior approved. Sandra Lindsey seconded, All were in favor. The Minutes of the Public Hearing of March 1, 2007, will be discussed and approved t a later Finance Committee Meeting. 1I. Correspondence: Tax late 1pact Schedule—Library Bonds Summary of Municipal Appropriation Report of the Finance Committee of Zoo Budget: There was discussion amongst the Committee, Joyce Mason, Rene' Read, and Terrie Cook regarding the figures that were presented by Anne Bradshaw at the Public Hearing held on March 1, 2007 vs, actual. information. Joyce stated that"the pmts are looking for the Seven Hundred and Seventy One($771,000.00) Dollars and 00/100". Bill Johnson also strongly questioned whether the figures presented at the Hearing were`tellingly and-knowingly"presented to the Public. Sandra Lindsey and Chris.avis commented that they had both received favorable and supportive comments from i iashpee community regarding the work of the Finance Committee. Sandra,also stated that a parent had commented to her about the figures presented by the School Superintendent,and which were pointed out by the Town Accountant as being in accurate. Rene'Read suagested that a letter be drafted to Anne Bradshaw in order to obtain updated information. Chi Avis-stated that he will draft the letter.
