Ann Bradshaw suggested the use of a mediator. <br /> I <br /> Sandra Lindsey commented on her appreciation of the scenarios,and attested to the scenarios <br /> being a late night discussion due to the fact that Chuck Gasior had just handed out the projected <br /> tax rate at the meeting. The tax rate would have an impact on the School Committee. Ms. <br /> Lindsey also stated that if language was in place to review the budget process, she would be in <br /> agreement with the same. Chairman Johnson and T me Cook acknowledged they had no prior <br /> awareness of the scenarios(options`or the School's desire to professionally review the Town <br /> Manager. Chairman Johnson felt the scenarios were premature until Town Manager had an <br /> opportunity to review them, although he did agree that they were sensitive to the economics of <br /> the day. Terrie Cook reminded everyone that the Town Meeting warrant will be executed on <br /> Larch 24,,200 8. <br /> Oskar Klenert inquired about who is evaluating the teachers,and if money-is properly spent. Mr. <br /> Klenert further suggested an assessment of the School, by an individual consultant, initiated by <br /> the Ton. School Committee members commented that standards and ethics must be obtained, <br /> and maintained by certifications,through the Department of Education. <br /> I . Requests for Transfer: None. <br /> Iv. old Business. None. <br /> ' .New Business: A non-budget related speaker requested an opportunity to present his <br /> proposed solar enemy project. Peter white, of 72 Main Street, Mashpee, discussed his idea of <br /> developing renewable energy and the benefits of a 1 OKW Solar Energy system. Mr. ate <br /> discussed up front costs and potential savings on future energy costs. Mr. White noted that <br /> although Town is taking steps on conservation, it also oeeds'to look into renewable energy. Total <br /> cost up front is One Hundred Thousand Dollars 100,000.00) and oo 100,with rebates of Fifty <br /> Thousand Dollars($50,000.00)and 00/100. Mr. white c maented that the Town of Yarmouth <br /> has already installed the program. Chairman Johnson stated that approval would not be made on <br /> this project this evening, as frther discussion would need to be dome with the Town Manager. <br /> • <br /> VI.
