Meeting. <br /> Sheriff Cummings and Fire Chief George Baker introduced themselves, and in turn spoke to the <br /> reasoning behind the request for Article 4, which would transfer $8,658 from Ambulance e F eceipt <br /> to the Fire & Rescue Department Expense Account. The funds would be used to corer ambulance <br /> to hospital communications services, ar system required by the Mass. Dept. of Public Health <br /> Ambulance Regulations. <br /> It was moved, seconded and unanimously approved by the Board of Selectmen to lift the hold on <br /> Article 4 (previously numbered Article . <br /> Paul Funk, Interim Business Administrator, I l shpee Public schools, introduced himself t 'the <br /> committee. Mr. Funk discussed the reasoning behind the School Committee request to place <br /> warrant article before the October Town Meeting asking for the return of the $836,000 returned t <br /> the Town in May, 2012, Mr. Funk started that the school budget would be in a crisis mode if they <br /> had to wait for Town Meeting approval in May 2018. <br /> After further questions from the Finance Committee and the Selectmen to Mr.-Funk and School <br /> Committee President Jose Franco, Town Manager Joyce Mason asked that the Board of <br /> Selectmen approve the request to place an article on the October Town Meeting, requesting <br /> transfer of$838,000 to the FY 2013 School Dept. Operating Budget, with the proviso that the <br /> School Committee stipulate how the funds will be expended, and that the total expenditures for the <br /> FY 2013 school budget not exceed $19,089,325. Ms. Mason started that this will allow the Town <br /> voters to decide whether or not to approve the return of the $836,000 to the school Committee. <br /> Ms. Mason added that she was not asking the Selectmen to recommend approval of the article. <br /> It was mored, seconded and approved,, -1by the Board of Selectmen to place the article on the <br /> October 2012 Town Meeting Warrant. <br /> Theresa Cook made a motion that the Finance Committee recommend approval of Article 4, t <br /> transfer- $3,656 from Ambulance receipts to the Fire & Rescue Dept. expense account, to pay <br /> Barnstable County Sheriff for ambulance to hospital communications services. Christopher Avis <br /> seconded the motion. The motion was approved by a vote of - (Charles Gasior absent). <br />
