The public is invited to attend. <br /> - New breakfast and lunch program was discussed, based on the recent guidelines handed <br /> down from the federal government as to what has to be offered. <br /> - Draft for the Mashpee Supt. Search Timeline. Most of the work, outside of the school <br /> Committee participation, is going to be happening in January/February 2013. <br /> Scott McGee, School Committee representative, introduced himself to the Board, and stated that <br /> the Mashpee School Committee debated the composition of the Supt. search committee but did <br /> not come to any conclusion after a deadlocked vote. The Committee will take up the matter again <br /> at its next meeting on Nov. 28, 2012. <br /> • Hurricane Sandy - Charles Gasi r <br /> Chuck Gasi r inquired as to the impact and extent of damage from Hurricane Sandy on the South <br /> Cape Beach. Joyce Mason stated that the South Cape Beach parking lot lost 15 feet of parking <br /> space, and the repair cost will be approximately $35,000. Ms. Mason stated that the Town is <br /> working with the State representatives to reconsider the installation of an engineering product <br /> offered by Oscar Klenert four years ago which would protect the parking lot from future <br /> storm/hurricane flood damage. <br /> • Public Properties Maintenance - Christopher Arris <br /> Chris Avi.s reported on receipt of emails from Joyce Mason regarding how the fuel depot <br /> system is working. Ms. !Mason stated that on occasion, a department head will spot check to <br /> compare the usage based on the record, similar to an audit. The system is more for follow up on <br /> blatant abusers of the system. Chris Avis has forwarded a cell phone usage report fpr distribution <br /> to the Finance Committee members. Joyce Mason stated that the control of internet access is very <br /> tight for the Town employees. <br /> Joyce Mason reported that the Mashpee voter turnout on Nov. 6th was 8,300 out of a possible <br /> 10,000. Chris Avis suggested that perhaps the use of social media could be a means to connect <br /> with the public about issues and improve future voter turnout. <br /> . 2014 Budget schedule of Meetings <br /> Joyce Mason reported that the first budget meeting will be held on Thursday, Dec. 6t' with the <br /> School Department, as requested by Ann Bradshaw.
