Fire Station Building Committee <br /> minutes <br /> September 16, 1997 <br /> ARC_F=CIUE&_ZURMEW PRQCE <br /> Discussion followed with regards to the general interview process. <br /> It was noted that all interviews will be conducted in conference room#l <br /> of the Mashpee Town Hall. <br /> Each Committee member will determine selected interview questions <br /> pertaining to the following information; <br /> NFPA standards and familiarity <br /> Wrack record to obtain Town Meeting funding <br /> -Carnpaign for Town Meeting approval <br /> Personality of firm to relate to Town Meeting Comfort factor <br /> Track record for projects within budget/Project completion <br /> Percent of change orders <br /> Availability to be on site Response time/Accessibility <br /> Space Infection control <br /> Project management/Clerk of the Works <br /> Technology aspects of the project <br /> Business aspects rgam ations contained within office <br /> Project architect/Availability to attend committee meetings <br /> Good code management <br /> Availability of m chan'cal and electrical engineers <br /> Architectural/Engineering team <br /> Concern for actual work space/living quarters <br /> Apparatus bay configuration <br /> Relocation process during renovation <br /> In addition, it was noted that the architectural firm must address design <br /> aspects for a future sub-station. <br /> The Committee has proposed to visit comparable renovated fire stations <br /> in the area after the intem*ew process. Suggested site visits include the <br /> Cape tons of Harwich, Yarmouth, Provincetovn, Truro, and Ctuit <br /> Center ille sterviIle in addition to stations located in Mansfield, <br /> Weymouth and Winchester. <br /> Discussion followed with regards to the general campaign of the <br /> Committee to obtain public support prior to the May y'io n Meeting.eeting. <br />
