Fire Station Building Committee <br /> 1nutes 2 <br /> .Tiny 21, f 998 <br /> REPORTF_TJHE_A C CT-. <br /> Ta.dgh Sweeney presented revised design schematics and exterior site elevations <br /> of the Fire & Rescue Station to members of the Fire Station Building Committee <br /> for review and consideration. <br /> Design revisions incorporated by the Committee were contained in the amended <br /> plan dated 7/21/98. <br /> The entry of the building was further emphasized by incorporating the conference <br /> and training room to the east elevation. The architect was directed to incorporate <br /> additional access to the conference room through the vestibule for after hours and <br /> weekend training utilization. <br /> An in-depth discussion followed with respect to the exterior layout of the front <br /> entrance. It was noted that the final option for the entryway shall be determined <br /> y the Fire Station Building Committee and Project Architect. <br /> The architect was directed to incorporate a janitors closet in the second floor of <br /> the facility near the exercise room. <br /> small balcony was added to the second.Boor, west elevation in the area of <br /> the day room. Additional VAndows were also added to the design. <br /> The Committee requested information from the architect relative to comparative <br /> cost analysis of vehicle egress doers; aluminum panel v. tinted glass. <br /> Masonry is the preferred option of the Committee for exterior site conditions. <br /> Mr. Sweeney was directed to use texture variation in the front entrance similar <br /> to the appearance of the high school building. <br /> Motion made by Mr.Weznl*ak to accept the schematic design layout <br /> and related exterior site elevations as amended. <br /> Motion seconded by lair. Thomas. <br /> VQ Unanimous. -o. <br />
