Joyce Mason,, George Baker,Dr. Elizabeth Petti,.George Weznla <br /> Absent: Peter Thomas, Joseph Peltier <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Mason at 10:03 a.m. <br /> Town Hall, Conference Room#I. <br /> NHNUTE <br /> 1 for da 1\ arcb 15 1999: <br /> Motion made by Mr.Wezniak to approve the minutes of Monday, <br /> March 15, 1999 as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Mr. Baer. <br /> Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> SCBEDULE OF ACTIVITIES PRIOR TO TOWN MEETING: <br /> The Fire Station Building Committee met to discuss the schedule of <br /> activities to enhance voter patronage prior to the,annual Town Meeting. <br /> Article#4 of the Special Town Meetingwarrant is proposed to fwd the <br /> repair and renovation of the Town's Central Fire Station for the sum of <br /> $21403,350. <br /> It is the consensus of the Committee to allow the Board of Selectmen to go <br /> forth to recommend said article on the date of Torn Meeting, on Monday, <br /> May 3, 1999. Mr. Wezniak VAR conduct the presentation proposal on <br /> behalf of the Committee. George Baker,Fire Chief ill provide <br /> assistance. <br /> Upon approval,the debt exclusion.question will b placed on the election <br /> � pp <br /> ballot of Saturday,May 8, 1999. The proposed ballot question as follows <br /> is subject to Town Counsel's legal review; <br /> Shall the Town of Mashpee be allowed to exempt from the <br /> provisions of Proposition 2 1/, so called, the amounts required <br /> Jo pay for the bond issued in order to renovate and construct <br /> a new fire station. <br /> YES N <br />
