Fire Station Building Committee <br /> mutes <br /> May 28, 1999 <br /> Present: Joyce Mason, George Baker,Dr. Elizabeth Petti, <br /> George Weia ,Peter Thomas,Joseph Peltier <br /> Guests: James May----Wallace,Floyd, Associates, Inc. <br /> Sheldon Hamblin—Deputy Fire Chief <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Mason at 9:12 a.m. <br /> Mashpee Fire&fescue Station <br /> NEENUTES: <br /> Tuesday#l a _ 18., 1999: <br /> rrHiSar� <br /> Motion made by Dr. Pettl to approve the minutes of Tuesday, <br /> May 1 , 1999 as presented* <br /> Motion seconded by Mr* Peltier. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Mr. Thomas abstained. <br /> REPORT OF THE CIUTECT: <br /> James May,Project Architect for the Fire&Rescue Station renovation <br /> project presented several conceptual design scenanos modeling the <br /> exterior appearance of building to be reconstructed to members of the Fire <br /> Station Building Committee and interested Mashpee Firefighters for <br /> review and consideration. <br /> In particular, Scheme A and Scheme B were considered as schematic <br /> design proposals. An ire-depth review followed. It was noted that Scheme <br /> A is the preferred design of the architect. <br /> The Committee requested the architect further modify the conceptual <br /> design of Scheme A and extend the rooff ine over the existing love <br /> apparatus hay to allow for increased space on the second Boor, and to also <br /> connect the downer located in the rear of the facility to give the building <br /> more symmetrical appearance. <br /> Motion rade by Mr.Wezniak to approve of Scheme A as modified. <br /> Motion seconded by Mr. Baker. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. -0. <br />
