Fire Station Building Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> March 3,,2000 <br /> Present: Joyce Mason, George Baker,Dr. Elizabeth P tti,. <br /> George Weznlak,Peter Thomas <br /> Absent: Joseph Peltier <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Mason at 100 p.m. <br /> Town Hall, Conference Room 42. <br /> Clerk of the Works Interview: ` <br /> Peter iMatte : <br /> 'Peter DiMatteo of Holbrook, was interviewed for the position of Clerk f <br /> the Works. He recently moved back to Massachusetts from Florida. <br /> Although he has not possessed the actual job title as Clerk of the works, <br /> Mr. iMatt 's previous experience covers a range of responsibilities <br /> in architecture and construction management. He was recently employed <br /> as a Code Plans Examiner in.dee County for the Department of <br /> Community Development. Mr. DIMatteo does not possess ars active <br /> construction supervisor's license in the State of Massachusetts. <br /> Gary Newel l I: <br /> Gary Newell, a civil engineer indicated that he has over twenty years <br /> experience in design and construction management. Experience ranges <br /> from industrial, commercial, design-build, fast'track to renovations and <br /> rehabs. <br /> 'Mr. Newell is presently the Clerk f the Works for the Town of Plainville. <br /> The $8 million dollar elementary school-project is ongoing. If selected for <br /> the position in I lashpee,IIT-. Newell indicated that he would give a two <br /> week notice to devote his time in full to Ilashp 's project. It was noted <br /> that the current building project is over schedule at this time_ <br /> Additional Clerk of the Works positions include a middle school <br /> additions/renovation project in the Town of Marlborough, and <br /> employment in the Towns of Tewksbury and Plymouth in direct_interf ee <br /> with the architectural firm of Donham & Sweeney. <br /> N <br />
