Fire Station Building Committee <br /> .Minutes <br /> March 13, 2000 <br /> .due Diligence--Clerk of the works: <br /> contract will be developed between the Town and Assistant Building <br /> Inspector for employment. Mr. Wheelers consulting time will be <br /> considered on an independent basis as a contract vendor or via payment to <br /> be rendered through the Town's.payroll process. <br /> All duties of the Assistant Building Inspector as Clerk of the works will <br /> be deemed separate from duties related to general Town functions.. <br /> Mr.wheeler will be expected to attend all project meetings. They have <br /> been scheduled on Thursdays at 1 :oo a.rn. on site with representatives of <br /> Standen Contracting Company and the Wallace Floyd Design Group. <br /> Fire Station Building Committee member,, George wezniak was deemed <br /> s representative to attend all project meetings in conjunction with <br /> Committee member, Fire Chief George Bakes'. <br /> The Committee agreed to make accommodations for.Mr. Wheeler on the <br /> subject site location, and provide any necessary shop drawings and related <br /> documents to him prior to the groundbreaking process: <br /> The purchase of a file cabinet and cellular phone was discussed. A <br /> t _ <br /> hourly wage of$30.00 was considered for the services of Mr. 'wheeler a <br /> Clerk of the works for the Town of Mashpee. <br /> It was noted that the Building Inspector is also in agreement with the <br /> Committee's proposal to employ 1&.wheeler as Clerk of the works. <br /> r Potential conflicts in time taken away from Mr. wheeler's duties as <br /> Assistant Building Inspector will be effectively managed. <br /> It was noted that the Building Inspector will be on site weekly to inspect <br /> the general construction process. The Town will also employ the services <br /> of a testing company as in public projects. The expertise of the contract <br /> engineers for the project proposal will also be advantageous in the interest <br /> of the Town in.maintaining quality construction practices. <br /> .ti <br />
