MASHPEE PUBLIC LIBRARY ' <br /> Trustees I Me e t i n <br /> February 12 , 1979 <br /> Minutes of the Meeting <br /> Present : Eleanor -Col en, Susan Van Tol, Avis McKinley, <br /> Arnold Swenson and Gloria Selander, librarian& <br /> Absent : Ondrea Robertson, Alice Hicks, Esther Smith. <br /> Minutes of the -January 8,th meeting were accepted . <br /> Members of the board will meet on February 26 at 7 p e m e <br /> to discuss the budget. The budget will be presented to the <br /> finance committee on March 13th. <br /> letter from the Friends of the library has been received <br /> asking for cooperation and participation in their program <br /> I+ a.shpee Salutes Spring". This event will take place on <br /> Larch 25 th at Town Hall , and the library will be open. <br /> Mrs. McKinley will represent the trustees in their committee,, <br /> .The report of the Librarian was read and accepted. A balance <br /> of $4750 remains in the expense account and the salary account <br /> balance is $1690. $1329.18 remains in the wage account and <br /> 2 . 0 in the revolving- account. <br /> Mr. Swenson reported that he had not received a reply from <br /> the town counsel so had called Mr. Reardon. Mr. Reardon could <br /> not understand how the trustees had misunderstood his remarks <br /> - and findings regarding library finances. An article will be <br /> placed in the warrant to release monies accrued to an account <br /> now held for the library so, that this money can be used for <br /> library expenses. Mrs. Seland er will check to - see that the <br /> article is prepared before the warrant closes. <br /> Mrs. Doe--Cohen distributed. copies of the By Laws of the Board <br /> of Trustees. Additional copies are on file. <br /> The Child Development preschool group is . meeting on Monday ay and <br /> Wednesday mornings on the .lower level. Iv rs.
