Fordham, Friends A. Rockwood Absent: A. Swenson (due to illness) . Tanneyhill ro tes of the meetings of September 19# 1983 and October 24, 1983 were approved as printed. q. The librarian's report for October was read and accepted. Mrs. Fordham reported for the Friends . Because of lack of funding for a new building, the workshop projects have been postponed. b. Two afghans will be raffled after the holidays. c. The Cahoon print and the Nantucket basket will be raffled in July. The Friends want to display the Cahoon print in the library during the spring„ This was agreeable to the Trustees. At the last Building Cottee meeting, Mr. Dean presented a further set of plans to the committee. These plans show the latest changes in the layout of the future library. Mr. Shaughnessy presented a list of suggested areas of responsibility for -promoting the library. Anton Buschenfe7d reported n the public relations seminar he attended at the Enterprise. Mrs. elander received a letter from Mfr. Sam Re thanking us for the gift book and pledging his continued support of a new town library.0 Mrs,, ing' ley reported receiving a note from one of our volunteers thanking the Trusteds for the Volunteer Tea. It was voted to request $2000900 from the Annual Town Meeting for parking lot leveling, surfacing and lining. This will be reported to the Capital Program Committee, as requested The Arts Council Grant which was awarded recently to the Library will not be received, as the necessary paperwork was not received by the State on time. The tardiness was on the part of the Selectmen's office, not that of the library. Continued discussion of relations with Mashpee Middle School Library: Mfrs. Kingsley will discuss the proposed puppet show with the school librarian, The show would take place during National. Library Week in April.. Board Members Felt that this subject should be discussed again at a, future meeting.
