Minutes a of Previous Meeting : The minutes of the ,duly 9 meeting <br /> were accepted @ <br /> III Reports' <br /> M <br /> A, <br /> Librarian: The Librarian 's written report for July was <br /> read and accepted. <br /> B. Friends of the Librar Memberships for the 1984-85 year <br /> total one hundred and eleven : 31 individual , 73 family and <br /> patrons ,. cash receipts of $669 , The total raffle sales <br /> were $19458. The Directors net and the proposal for <br /> honoring volunteers at a tea, as has been the custom* was <br /> discussed. Several suggestions were- made , - including individual <br /> plagues to honor the volunteers . There was agreement that <br /> the tea has been held too many times . The final votewas <br /> to cancel the tea this year and to ask .-the Trustees to <br /> thank the voluneer -, since they are directly responsible to <br /> the Board. A proposal that wasacepted b the Director <br /> was made : that when the list of furnishings and equipment <br /> for' the new library is available , the Friends would select <br /> a substantial item, purchase it , and donate it. to the <br /> library with a suitable. inscribed plate in appreciation of <br /> all volunteers and their services over the years * <br /> They also voted to hold two book sales on the library awe : <br /> one on Primary Day , September 18, and a second on Election <br /> Day , weather permitting. Trustees were invited to donate b.o k� <br /> On motion by A. Swenson , and seconded by B . Towner , it was <br /> voted that a letter from the Trustees , thanking thevolun- <br /> teers and the librarian and staff for their gervices was in <br /> order , Mrs . Kingsley agreed to draft the letter. <br /> C. Building Committee : No report . <br /> Old Business <br /> T <br /> A. Review of Board of Trustees ' B laws <br /> The Bylaws as revised in 1983 were ]reviewed , article by <br /> article, and the following changes recommended. Trustees <br /> were asked to review the changes and be prepared to make <br /> final decision on them at the September meeting . <br />
