*a l r' MASHPEE PUBLIC LIBRARY Board of Library Trustees Minutes of the Meeting--March 13 , 1989-7 : 00 I . Present: o. Robertson, A. FitzGerald, G. seland r, A. Rockwood,- A. Tan eyhill and D. Kingsley, Librarian Absent: M. Fordham, A. Swenson II . The minutes of the January 9 meeting were accepted. . . The minutes of the February meeting were corrected as follows : The flag was purchased and presented b the Friends , and not by New seabury Corporation . However, was received from the New seaburr Corp. for books purchased from those set aside for the Spring sale. second correction was made : The meeting with the Finance Committee was on'the capital Program and not on the budget. The hearing on the budget will be held later. The minutes of the February meeting ted with the corrections were accepted rct� n noted. III . The Librarians report was accepted as read Mrs . Fordham is working on a speaker for the April Friends meeting. Claire Baisly will talk ona e cod history and architecture. p Diane Kingsley will follow through on the plans for this meeting because of Mrs . Fordham' s illness . Iv The memorandum from the Selectmen regarding building maintenance was reviewed .and discussed at length. It is felt that for the Library we do not want to have the custodial position eliminated. The draft of a memorandum prepared by o. Robertson was reviewed and changed to incorporate the following: Paragarah Two: Delete this paragraph entirely and substitute the following paragraph We agree with the proposal that a separate Maintenance Department be established, but do not want to see the custodial position for the Library eliminated.
