Librarian: H. Now that statistics were gen-
erated by CLIUIS, she had a figure taken from the daily
reports, but there was no breakdown. The breakdown appears
later in the month, too late for the monthly meeting report,
Helene reported this was the busiest month the Masbpee n. .
Library had ever had. The library showed an almost 120
item increase. The number of patron visits was also u
substantially, 1500 more people than the previous year,
Dick Shaughnessy suggested Helene could, in the essence
of making less work for her, wait until the Town Accountant' s
once-a-month sheet appeared to report the library expenses
to the Board of Trustees.
B. Friends : T. Hyde reported that the Friends had earned
$38 .75 from the mini book sale; $133 . 85 from the Saturday's
sale.
Terry reminded the trustees that on September 8th, Thursday,
at 7 : 00 p. m. they would set things up for the Saturday 9/10
book sale. It was suggested that one or two tables be set
up outside during the good weather to attract attention to
the book sale.
