This total exceeded 80,000 items for the first time ever. A very <br /> busy .Tune; the introduction to the summer activity. - <br /> New <br /> ctivity. -New Computers: Helene reported that they now had a full complement o <br /> computers. <br /> Frieuds: The bock sale earned $140.00. The Friends meeting met in the <br /> Library Conference Room on Tuesday, July 16, 1996, 7:00 p. m. The pro- <br /> gram consisted of comedy entertainment starring Melinda Gallant and her <br /> partner, Kathy Knowles. <br /> IV COMMUNICATIONS: None <br /> V OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Door: Anton reported there was nothing new on the new front doors. Anton <br /> prepared. a quick sketch for the storage room which he passed on to Helene. <br /> B. Signs; Cheryl Hawver has heard nothing further from Greg Taylor re- <br /> lative to the library directional signs. <br /> C. Building Committee Plaque: Helene reported that -she had contacted <br /> Ray Martini to arrange for the plague to be placed on the wall b <br /> the front showcase. <br /> VI NEW BUSINESS: <br /> A. Data Comm: Installation of preliminary wiring re computer system. <br /> Helene reported that they were waiting for some communications soft- <br /> rare called "Cross Talk". <br /> B. Steer Reading Program: Kathy and Helene have been wording on the <br /> summer reading program. <br /> C. Landscaping: Helene reported that the library landscaping which <br /> has been completed by Evelyn and Anton B schen el.dt was superb. <br /> Anton's goal was for. the landscaping on the library property to <br /> be the most attractive among the town buildings. <br />
