Helene reported that at the Department Head Meeting, Bob Whritenour <br /> Meted that the budget was in place, and -the warrant has been printed. <br /> At that point, there was a question whether the school department <br /> would apply for an override, <br /> Helene explained farther that in Friday's issue of the MAHPEE ENTERPRISE, <br /> it sounded as if they were not going to apply for an override. If that <br /> were the case, they were not going for an override, the library's s bud- <br /> get, as submitted, would be the library's budget. <br /> If the school department shouldchoose to go for more money on the Town <br /> Meeting floor, they would have to find some- place from which to acquire <br /> the monies. That could impact department budgets come fall. But, as <br /> things stand presently, what has been submitted should be what will be <br /> approved, <br /> Helene added that it would be important if the trustees were able t <br /> attend .Town Meeting on May 5, 1597. <br /> B. Progress on Shelving: Anton reported here was nothing to report on <br /> the shelving project. He will have a full report -at the next meeting <br /> for decision. <br /> C. Helene had asked the trustees to give some thought to more scope for <br /> Long-range planning. Mimi offered, in her opinion, perhaps if they <br /> had a smaller pian, they could facilitate it better than reconstructing <br /> the whole building., <br /> Helene stated, relative to the plan, they had to submit a long-range <br /> play, three years ago, so they were in the fi <br />
