V OLD BUSINESS: A. update on shelves: Anton reported that he had a communication from one of the other firms, one that Helene had suggested he check on. Anton has not received a reply to the FAX that they had seat. Anton will try to contact them by telephone tomorrow. B. M:*Lmi asked Helene what they would do with the older videos. Helene ex- plained that there were a couple of options. The number of videos the' patrons can rent could be increased; increase the loan period for the time they may keep them. Helene explained that when she. has the time, she plans to check to determine which videos were not m .ln_ , and with- draw them,, It was suggested that eventually, the older videos which were not mooring could be sold in the book sales. Report from Helene, ,June 18th Department HeadMeeting: Helene reported that at this mornings Department Head Meeting, Bob Whritenour presented them with a performance plan, Priority Performance Objectives. What they are looking for is a one-year List of goals and objective-s, an idea of what each department would be working on over the next couple of years. This is tied Into the performance evaluations. Helene stated that Bob Whritenour would be supervising her evaluation for the first time. ' Mr.. Whriten ur had indicated that he would like this sheet completed and returned within a week. Helene reviewed the Library r.s -Long Range Plan, and found there were a few items that they had not accomplished: One was, under patronts needs, they had planned to prepare a surrey of what' patrons were looking for. Helene felt that would be a goal to factor into this PPO. Helene found another goad they had not made progress with was measuring their reference service. Coining up with-some kind of written polio re# the level of questions which were answered, ghat level were forwarded to Falmouth. That is something that could be worked on. They could also prepare a surrey of how successful they were at filling reference requests, so- that they have some idea of how they were doing in that area.
