P . 3 , Para . 4 . David reported that he had been back to town hall and had been disappointed . What - that was in rogards. to was - the program he had received from them was- not as readily usable as he had thought it would - be* That was what had been d isappo int ing . The minutes of June ; 1998 were . accepted as amended . III REPORTS % Library Director : Helene reported that June had been a very hectic month. Circulation for the month was 9 , 622 transactions * Helene explained that we have never hit anything like that out- side of a July or an August . Helene explained that we had some preliminary figures for the year , t,h:e total circulation for FY8 totalled 99 , 843 items , . 5800 items more than a year ago * .i No report from the Friends . IV GENERAL BUSINESS : Mailings : David Burton was absent , so them was no information on the mailings . Children ' s Librarian :. Helene reported that the position had been advertised a couple of times , in the CAPE CGD TIMES ; it was on the TV; Helene put it. out on E-MAIL to the State ' s position line through the CLAMS Network. Helene had stopped t there today and, they had about sixapplications . They fe�.t extending it a bit Longer :so they have a new closing date of July 20th. Library Hours : There had been some discussion about changing the library hours , but it had been decided to wait , at least until September . Library By-laws : Mimi had prepared and passed out to the trustees copies of the Mashpee Library -maws . She had also prepared copies of "WHAT DOES A TRUSTEE DO?" and distributed them to the meeting .
