LIBRARY TRUSTEES <br /> x+/13/99 <br /> GE TWO <br /> III REPORTS : (Continued) <br /> David Burton reported that our dearly departed trustee, Charlotte <br /> Eaneui.l , has an extensive family and friends network, Her daughter, <br /> Bobby Ei:tner , was in cont-act with Helene, who put David in touch <br /> with a David Cassidy , a friend of Charlottels family. Subsequent <br /> to that , David had a meeting with Charlotte ' s son , Jerry. David ' <br /> impression was that through hese connections , here was the pos- <br /> sibility this was a naming opportunity, for the children' s room of <br /> the Mas-hpee Library expansion. Her daughter suggested she would <br /> like the room called imply "The Charlotte Faneuil h i1-d r en ' s Room". <br /> Anton suggested that when these people should come to visit and view <br /> the Library , a package be put together with the data on the library , <br /> in addition to a visual tour, and in particular emphasize how much <br /> the chil,dren ' s requirements , tc . have increased . That was what <br /> Charlotte wanted . <br /> IST CORRESPONDENCE <br /> Letter from Board of Library Commissioners relative to the ap- <br /> plication for funding and design. "There had been 34 applicants <br /> competing . The libraries that received the monies were old and <br /> had code violations . Helene read off the naves of the libraries <br /> that had received the funding . <br /> David Burton reminded the trustees that there would be a Town Meeting <br /> prior to the next meeting of the Board of Library 'trustees . David <br /> indicated that Mike Bailey of the MSHPEE ENTERPRISE had contacted <br /> then and would like to do a. pre-town meeting information dissemina- <br /> tor , <br /> Helene explained that we want the townspeople to know that they were <br /> planning an expansion, and the fact that there should be a bond bill <br /> somewhere down the road . We will have to hare' the schematic drawing <br /> in order to be eligible to apply for it . <br /> Dick Shaughnessy suggested the use of a format of questions . and an- <br /> sw <br /> e�rs t d'iss urinate information to the pub 1ic . <br /> Dick announced that this meeting would be his Last meeting as a <br /> trustee. <br /> Mimi Marsh stated that Dick' s presence would be very much missed <br /> at - the Iibrary trustees meetingsf <br /> Carlo announced that he would not be present for "Town Meeting or <br /> the election. <br />
