David received and E- mail onf irmat ion. VI Library Holiday Hours : Helene reported that the library had pla ne.d to be. open from v . 1 : 00 p . m. to 6 p . . - on'.Dec ember 31st .- . The f.o Mowing' message came out from CLAMS : "The CLAMS Office will be closed rlday December 24th, Saturday , 12/25 , and 'Friday , 12/31 , and Saturday , 1/1/00. For libraries open on the 12/31 date, se-rvices will be limited to reed only access to CLAMS data base until ,noon : no transactions , no - activities that will change data. bases , n circulation , no charges , - no discharges , no root-in , root-outs . - requests oot-outs , .requestsetc . , etc . " Helene explained , there would have been four employees on Friday . Helene and Sandy will be there doing Art-I-Gras . Helene proposed that the library - remain open for Art-I-Gras only from p . - m. till. whenever .. Hel-erre suggested , in , shifting staff ' s hours to during the weed when they will be able to do something productive. Teri moved that t-he library close forregular business for the entire day Friday , 12131199 : Anton seconded . All in. favor . So movede VII NEW BUSINESS : As a follow-up to Helene ' s previous discgssion,. the library had a request by the Ar-t-I-Gras Committee for the use the library which is limited to the meeting ream, to be - used from p . m. to p . m. David explained there would be as - many as 3.0 to 35 people in the meetingroom* Helene and Janet Burke have offered t'o come in to stake sure the library was locked up as required .- Diane introduced the motion that the-- library trustees allow- tie Art-I-Oras Committee to use the meeting room only -for New Fears Eve . Motion seconded . All in favor . So roved . Library Budget : Helene explained she was working- on the budget which was due January 5th, 2000 . We traditionally . have an extra meetiong so that the trustees have the opportunity to review the budget before it was submitted .
