There is another area which .wall be called the browsing col-
lection/living
l-
lection/living room. The reason for that 'was that they had 'heard
the opinion of residents .that the II-brary was not co y. They also
wanted a meeting-room which would have afte'r-hours access , and not
be dependent upon having the meetings only on Tuesdays or Thrusdays
before 8 : 00 p . m.
Helene further explained that It appeared that . they were leaning towards
having a second floor. Their needs were not going to fit on one floor .
The second floor was- roj ected with some staff area, reference, . study
rooms ,, and an open area . They are not proposing building an entire
sec n'd f1 r . They were proposing more of a me anine approach, be- .
cause of cost , but- with the ability to add - on - in the future. .
The -second variaton of the conceptual rawing was also presented .
In the next couple of weeks that .gill all_ be tentatively finalized ,
as the architect sees the relationship as to their pririt.i pP , and
what needed to be near what . Much of- this has to . do with supervisions
They want to. create meas where it would not be difficult to see what
was going on ,, and to see who needed assistance .
i
