Following the end of the summer season , he plans to visit other libraries and. find out ho-w they work, get some- guidelines for himself . The book sale earned abou.t $40. 000 In answer to Jim' s question about the availability of parking space for the new library , David responded that part of the feasibility study deals with parking , shared parking with Christ the Ding Church, what is going to go on the adjacent parcel here during the busy times . ' IV NEW BUSINESS : 1 . Mashpee Chamber of Commerce - -Business After Hours , Sept . 13 . David explained that the Mashpee . Library , the Friends , are members of the Chamber of Commerce . The Chamber is another outlet for disbursing -information. David sits on the Chamber f Commerce board of trustees . They had their monthly meeting this morning . They have a Programs Committee, and have floated the idea o .having a Mashpee After Hours meeting here at the library. That is , to invite the b-us Ines s community into the library , to 'give them a sense of where we have been'. and where e are going . September. 13th, a Wednesday night , the library and the Friends will provide some hors d ' oeuvres . The Cape Cod Bank. and Trust has asked if they can underwrite the cost of that . A mail.Ing will g6 out to the business - community. October Article : Helene explained that yesterday was the deadline for Articles to be submi-tted . She had felt that it was going- to be difficult to prepare an Article for October since the State has notannounced a -grant program yet , We are close to the end of the study,. but we are not at the en'd yet, so we do not know what this 1-s going to cost . That 'in- formation n-formation will be required for an article . Bob Wh.ri,tenour advised Helene that h.e felt that they soul wait until the May Town Meeting wh.ich. .tr'ad.i.tionally is when the financial issues are dealt with .
