They are supposed .to have . either a treasurer, or the <br /> town treasurer may act as the' treasurer of the hoard of trustees , <br /> unles-s the li ra'ry appoints . one. Section ii states that the <br /> hoard of library trustees has custody and mana dement of the <br /> lirarr. All atonies raised or appropriated her the town is <br /> supposed , to' he appropriated by the board of library trustees . <br /> Section 19 - gifts and -grants - states we may accept . grants <br /> from people, and it is to' he deposited with the treasurer, <br /> held in a separate account. -They xray spend it without further <br /> appropriation.. <br /> However, Section 53 of Chapter 44 states that they may expend <br /> the funds, but they have to receive the approval 'of the board <br /> . of. selectmen, - o lever, . they do not have to go' be fore Town <br /> Meeting and ask for approval. <br /> David suggested they incorporate this information into their. <br /> Trustees ' Iandhook. <br />
